POLKADRAAI BIKE PARK





The Polkadraai farm has a Cape Dutch style house which has been Victorianised by replacement of the thatch roof with a red corrugated iron roof. Strawberry picking made this place famous, but now a range of other activities is available for kids on weekends including bike park riding through an indigenous garden.

Boys and girls will absolutely love their time in the outdoors while improving their fitness and balance. Be sure to provide a suitable helmet, long pants and cycling gloves. CHEETAH PAARDEVLEI OUTREACH – PAARDELVLEI



Children have the wonderful chance to see wild animals that are treated with care at this important conservation facility. Cervals, caracals, and cheetahs are some of the large cats that call Paardevlei home. This conservation program works with cheetah ambassadors from across the world to increase the population through captive-born breeding programs, while also educating people about the need of protecting South African farm-raised cheetahs. They are the fastest wild cats and are also quite graceful and beautiful to see. Black-backed jackals, meerkats, bat-eared foxes, and leopard tortoises are also observed.

Grand West Station is probably the only location to go for ice skating in Cape Town. Fortunately, it is a well-run and excellent place with a mini rink for toddlers that is bordered by a food court. A fun-filled day is guaranteed with the nearby movie theaters, arcade games, and ten pin bowling. Learn to skate at a young age and have a lot of fun memories of skating as a child! There are three 1.5-hour sessions in a normal day. By special arrangement, there are good coaches for figure skating as well, and many hockey teams use the rink for practice. While the larger rink will draw older kids with its modern music and eye-catching lights, the smaller micro rink is ideal for teaching younger kids to skate. The food court offers a wide range of takeout options, including Nando's and Burger King. The family could easily spend the whole day at the rink because of the movie theater nearby.
