1. GROOT CONSTANTIA



The farm was first established in 1685 by Simon van der Stel (After which Stellenbosch and Simonsberg are named). The plan is in a u-shape with iregular wings and the gable is in the late Dutch Renaissance style. The building was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1925. It was restored under architect Franklin Kendall. In 1984 is was declared a national monument.





2. TOKAI FARMSTEAD



This farmhouse is located on Reditus wine and olive farm in Devon Valley near Stellenbosch and was designed in a contemporary style.

3. BOSHOF GATEWAY



The Boshof gateway dates from the late 1800's and was erected as the entranceway to the Boshof farm. The gates are a central feature of the Cape Dutch style and this is one of the oldest and most impressive examples. Cape Malay slaves were responsbile for the beautiful plaster work on the gates. It became a national monument in 1941.

4. ZEVENWACHT



A 30min drive from Cape Town, in the suburbs of Kuilsriver, lies the stunning home of Zevenwacht. With the vineyards in the backround and reflecting in a natural lake, this is special location on the planet.








BUITENVERWACHTING



This stunning farmhouse is located right next to the famous Groot Constantia yet it is less well known despite being more beautiful.
